Dubai’s latest infrastructure venture, the New Fourth Corridor, promises to transform regional connectivity with its first phase costing $953 million. It aims to cut travel time by 60%, from 35 minutes to just 14 minutes. Key construction elements include 55 lane-kilometers of at-grade roads, 21 kilometers of bridges and ramps, and 2.5 kilometers of tunnels.
The second phase will stretch another 50 kilometers from Dubai–Al Ain Road to Al Faya Road in Abu Dhabi. Scheduled to handle the same traffic capacity, this phase will reduce journey times by 52%, serving approximately 3.1 million people. It involves the construction of 190 lane-kilometers of at-grade roads, 157 kilometers of bridges and ramps, and 3.5 kilometers of tunnels.
