The vehicle, stationed at the Strood depot, will be used for company deliveries. This 18-tonne battery electric lorry can be plated up to 20 tonnes to account for the battery weight, maintaining a payload comparable to diesel vehicles. The lorry is expected to achieve a range of 130 to 180 miles on a single charge, depending on factors like driving conditions and payload. The vehicle's length is approximately 9 meters, with a body built by Charlton Bodies, featuring a 6.9-meter-long platform.
To complement its new electric lorry, H E Services has installed an Ultra Rapid CCS Charger at its Strood depot. This infrastructure supports both DC fast charging up to 150 kW and 22 kW AC charging, ensuring the lorry can be charged quickly and efficiently.
