Moreover, the project includes an upgrade of the site's ammonia treatment systems, meeting new legislation standards with the installation of 12 modular nitrifying SAF (Submerged Aerated Filter) units. These units provide scalable ammonia removal capacity, supported by dedicated blowers and a new motor control cabinet. An interstage pumping station was also constructed to facilitate flow management to the tertiary process.
