Trimble has agreed to acquire Document Crunch, a specialist in AI-driven construction document analysis and risk management software. The acquisition integrates Document Crunch's platform into Trimble Construction One Project Delivery, enhancing project management and ERP workflows. Financial details were not disclosed.
Document Crunch's AI identifies contractual risks, payment disputes, and compliance failures that impact contractor profitability. Its software has been used on over 10,000 projects by contractors, designers, owners, and insurers. It automates risk reviews, contract compliance, and notification processes, reducing disputes and improving project outcomes.
This acquisition embeds a "contractual rule set" into Trimble's TC1 suite, automatically managing obligations and payment terms across project delivery. It strengthens risk mitigation and compliance automation capabilities for AECM professionals, improving operational efficiency and profitability.
Document Crunch currently serves North American civil and building contractors and integrates with Trimble ProjectSight. Further integration within Trimble's ecosystem is planned to expand functionality and market reach.
Trimble aims to scale Document Crunch's platform, positioning it as a core component of its comprehensive construction software portfolio.
