BIG has unveiled plans for Shakira Stadium, a 50,000-capacity temporary venue in Madrid's Macondo Park. Scheduled for September, it supports Shakira's Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour. The stadium features tiered seating in three blocks and a wide LED screen behind the stage. Surrounding the venue, BIG designed curved paths with recycled fabric canopies, artist stalls, food vendors, and children's zones. The 21-hectare site will remain active before, during, and after events, diverging from traditional stadium inactivity. This approach integrates event and community spaces, enhancing visitor experience and operational flexibility.
