Autodesk Integrates Revit with Forma for Seamless Data Flow

Autodesk launched the Tech Preview of "Revit as a Forma Connected Client," marking the first deep integration of a desktop product with the Forma AECO cloud platform. This integration allows teams to transfer data from Forma Site Design and Forma Building Design into Revit without manual file exchanges. Contextual data from the Forma Data Marketplace, including terrain and surrounding buildings, can be added to projects in just a few clicks. Additionally, some Forma cloud capabilities like environmental analysis are now accessible directly within Revit. Autodesk Assistant, an AI-powered guidance tool, is also available in Revit to assist with models, workflows, and industry-specific tasks. All Revit subscribers now gain access to Forma Site Design, Forma Building Design, Forma Board, and Forma Data Management Essentials, enhancing AI-powered planning and collaboration. Forma Building Design supports schematic phase design with geolocated sites, facade and floor plan editing, and performance evaluations such as daylight and carbon analysis. Projects can then be transferred into Revit as native, geolocated models for detailed design. Forma Data Management Essentials offers a no-cost entry point for shared project data, while Forma Board facilitates visual collaboration with upcoming AI rendering features to help visualize design intent from sketches and images.
